Hi Sara, hope you like my ebooks. Baylie, I love your This Side of Magicname!  Let me know what you think of This Side of Magic (Keyholders #1).  Leah, yes the illustrator often comes up with much of the cover, but he/she has much input from the cover designer, art director, and editor.  The author ususally doesn't have much say in what's on the cover.
Kaitlyn, Hilary, and Meghan the book is called Whistler's Hollow.  I have sold 158 stories to be made into books and I was 27 when I started writing professionally.  Mrs. Urso and class, it was great fun SKYPING with you.  Mrs. Urso's class, did you know your teacher worked long into the evening to make that happen?  Isn't she wonderful?  Megan, my next book is about pirate treasure: Treasure in Trident City.  Have a great Friday, Debbie

Hi Megan, you can find my answers to your letters here on Debbie Talks.  Hey Shane, great to hear from you!  I'm Treasure in Trident Citywith you on the covers, but surprisingly when I visit schools the kids like the new covers better.  They are certainly scarier!  I think Eddie would probably be the most fun to hang out with of the Bailey School Kids, but he'd also be the one most likely to get in trouble too!  Shane, I hope you'll like me on Facebook.
Yes, Maggie!  More Mermaid Tales are on the way.  The eighth one comes out in May, Treasure in Trident City.  Leah, it was fun visiting your school and I'm glad you like my books.  I'm looking forward to visiting Stoneybrook Elementary soon!  Have a great week, Debbie
