Dear Ellie, I'm so glad you like the Mermaid Tales books. You are quite the reader! I hope you'll enjoy 1, 2, 6, and Flower Girl Dreams18. I wonder if you have a favorite so far.
Kaleigh, you have some valid points. Sometimes Pearl does seem mean, but I think she is mostly misunderstood. If you read the end of Books vs Looks, as well as Flower Girl Dreams you might see what I mean. It is true that Pearl is blond, but so is Liza (a character in the Bailey School Kids books). Liza is as nice as she can be!
Suzy, the difference between phone and telephone is: tele.  Ruthabella, your older brother should not have shown you that movie. Best, Debbie

Books vs Looks Mermaid Tales #15Dear Tess, I am so glad you enjoyed Books vs Looks and Ready, Set, Goal! Guess what? I am rewriting a book about Kiki right now. It will come out next year!
Suzy, you are so right. Melody should not have pushed Eddie in Ghosts Do Splash in Puddles. Sometimes people do things without thinking and it usually causes trouble!
Dora, you have a big family. I always wanted to have a sister. I have two brothers. Hi Carmen. Lisa and Ash, it sounds like you may need to have a talk with your teachers. Have a blessed week, Debbie

Dear Carmen, I speak only English. Suzy, a few kids sent some inappropriate things so that's why we had to delete some posts. My webmaster even suggested taking Kid's Inside the MagicTalk and Debbie's Talk off my webpage. This forum is for asking questions about my books and writing. Other concerns should go to your teachers or parents. Yes, it was inappropriate for the kids to go into their teacher's house without permission. I will let you read Leprechauns Don't Play Fetch to find out the answer to your question.
Jayden, there will probably not be another Keyholder book. I hope enjoyed the series of four. Shane, thanks for the fun idea! I have sold 166 books to traditional publishers. Mairam, your story sounds very much like Miriam's story in the Bible. Jenny, I always wanted a horse. Have a great summer, Debbie

Vampires Don't Wear Polka DotsDear Margaret, When Marcia and I first wrote Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots, Mrs. Jeepers turned into a vampire at the end of the story! Our editor thought that would be too scary, what do you think?
Suzy, you are right-Howie is allergic to dogs. Jelissa, I'm so sorry about your mom. Mairam, I agree family is important. Noraan, we do like bananas. Ash, I hope you will read books this summer. God bless, Debbie

Dear Noraan, This morning I had cereal, yogurt, and blueberries for breakfast, but your waffles sound great! The Secret Sea HorseSuzy, it is great to hear from you again. Thanks for recommending the Bailey School Kids books. Good luck with writing your own fun stories. Would you be interested in writing a short article for the next MerStyle magazine?
Mairam, It sounds like you had a tough day! Congratulations on your baby brother. Guess what? I have been writing about a character who gets a new baby brother. She isn't too happy about it at first, but then she learns to love him. I hope the same thing happens to you! Evony, thanks for your awesome idea. You may have guessed that I like horses. I have written and co-authored several books about them. Of course, The Secret Sea Horse is about a different type of horse! Have a blessed week, Debbie
