Dear Abbie, Can you believe book #19 which comes out next year is already written? It is with my editor now, but I should be able to add your name to the dedication page! Hope you'll enjoy it! I'll look forward to seeing Shellshine (love that title!), but please ask your parent or guardian to throw in a paper with a line saying, "I give my permission for you to share Abbie's Shellshine story online." Best, Debbie

Dear Abbie, I think it is so cool that you made your Trouble at Trident Academyown magazine, Shellshine! If you want to send it to me, let me know. Rocky was trying to scare the mergirls a bit when he wiggled his fingers like they were claws in Trouble at Trident Academy, but maybe it didn't work!
Hannah, I'm so glad you like my books. Do you have a favorite? Hi Elaina, I agree that writing is a good way to communicate. Tess, I hope to visit Maryland! Best, Debbie

Dear Tiana, It is very cool that you know American Sign Language. The written word is very powerful. Why don't you write a letter to your teacher explaining what happened? Best of luck, Debbie

Dear Suzy, I try to answer every weekday morning, Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dotsbut not usually on the weekends. Hi Ellina! Jenazabeth, Mrs. Deedee  (in Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots) moved to Alaska where she retired from teaching. She hikes and reads. Liza, Melody, and Howie weren't mean to her, but sometimes (like Eddie) they weren't exactly well-behaved! Have a great summer, Debbie
