Hey guys, did you have a good President's Day?  Lindsey, I'm so happy you like my books.  You go girl!  Allison, writer's use things from real life to put into their fiction stories, so you The Worst Name in Third Gradecould say some things are real and some are made-up.  Cayla, I would love to write another Bridgett Butt story.  What do you think I should call it?  Jaden, I am writing more books.  For the one I'm writing now I've been researching what an underwater band would use to play the drums or a horn.  A big shell would make sense for a drum, but that seemed kind of ordinary so I've been trying to find something more unusual.  Any suggestions?  brb, Debbie

Inside the MagicWow, Becca you have definitely been busy reading.  I am currently writing a story called Shelly and Echo and the Amazing Boy Band, but the name may change.  It will come out next year.
Elias, I'm glad you like the Keyholders and Luke.  I like him too-he's a bit like me because I like basketball too.  If we get to write a fifth Keyholders it will be about dragons.  They are such fun to write about-especially Dracula.  That was a really good question about which state The Bailey School Kids live in.  Actually we never said, but it would have to be where there are lakes, and access to the ocean and mountains.  That would make it a little tricky for it to be a real place.  ttyl, Debbie

Hey Lemaria, I'm so glad you like my books.  Do you have a favorite?  I'd love to visit your school.  I will actually be in your state this spring.  If your librarian or teacher is interested in having me visit, they can look on this page to find out more information.  Hope you didn't get too much snow yesterday.  We just received a little bit.  ttyl, Debbie

Hi Elizabeth, I look forward to meeting you too.  I get ideas for Slime WARsstories from everywhere, including my children.  In fact, my daughter Becky and I wrote a story together.  Just this week I talked with an editor who is interested.  I hope she buys it!  My oldest son and I did have two books published that we wrote together, Slime Wars and Slime Time.  I live in Furlong, PA. with my three dogs, Skip, Shadow, and Bailey.  I have three wonderful children and one fabulous husband, Eric.  As for my favorite store, I'd have to stay hardware stores just because they have so many cool things there.
Do you have a long weekend?  If so, I hope you have a great time and read a good book.  It's really windy where I live so I'll try not to blow away, Debbie

Hi Chassity, I went to Western Kentucky University for my undergraduate and graduate degrees.  It's also where I met my skiinghusband!Wink  You can figure out how old I am my looking at my book report page, but I have to warn you I'm old!  I was lucky, I had a pretty good childhood.  I remember bike riding with my brothers, skiing on the Ohio River, and playing with my dog Spike.  Take care and enjoy this glorious day, Debbie
