Dear Hannah, Yeah! I'm thrilled that the Bailey Schools Kids is your favorite series and that Leprechauns Don't Play Fetch is your favorite book. Any time I write a story I always do research to help me find out interesting things that I can put into my writing. Since I've written about monsters a lot, I've studied legends and myths that have to do with those creatures. It's very interesting. Have a great weekend, Debbie

Dear JoAnn, What an interesting idea. I do like songs and have some in several of my books, even in the new Mermaid Tales series. I heard some kids singing "Row, row row your boat, gently down the stream. Throw your teacher overboard . . ." yesterday. Do you know which book of mine that is in?

JoAnn, basketball and baseball were my favorite sports growing up, but now I play mostly tennis for fun. Analah and Kelly, I am really old! You can find out more about me on FAQ. Sofia, I love your title and it's so cool that your dad is supportive of your writing. It is awesome that you perform with him in his Polka Dot show.
Ciara, Maddy, Tori, and Brooke; I have sold 158 stories to be made into books. Tori, my grandmother helped inspire me to write because she always kept a diary. Mya, my next book is The Secret Seahorse. Jake, my husband is my best friend. Maryan, dogs are definitely my favorite animal. I don't have any other pets right now.
