Hi Lauren! Your prologue can be how ever many pages you'd like it to be. I am not a fan of prologues and perfer to start right with the action, but some people like them. I think short is usually better for a prologue. It depends on the style you are using and the size of print of the finished book, but I usually have three pages of typed manuscript that transfers to 3-4 pages of my Mermaid Tales books. Dear Saina, I do make up my characters, but I get ideas for them from real people, even myself! It takes different amounts of time to write different books. For instance, Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips took two years, while Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots was mostly written in two weeks! I think about what I want to happen first, second, and last when I write (even before I write).
     Shalloniosnaffo, if you don't like your name you might want to think about a nickname. Of course, I didn't like my name when I was a kid, but I like it now.
     Lillian, I am writing book #15 in the Mermaid Tales series right now and I am having great fun. Pearl and Kiki are really mad at each other! You wouldn't believe what Pearl is doing! I hope you enjoyed The Lost Princess and The Secret Sea Horse.
