Hi Lucy, it's cold here right now! We haven't had much snow at all-not enough to play in this winter. I remember once when I was a kid in Kentucky we had so much snow we built tunnels. We crawled through them with our dog. My mom was worried they would collapse on us.
I have always wanted a horse and there are some not too far from where I live. I did help write some books about magical horses though. Maybe you could teach us some Filipino. Take care, Debbie

Dear Mrs. Green and class, did you know I did my student teaching at your school? I split my time there between fourth grade and kindergarten. My mom actually lives very close to your school. My younger brother lives in Evansville and my older brother owns Thomason's BBQ. When I visit your school, I'll talk about where I get my ideas and how I use those ideas to create stories. Do you write stories in your class? You might like my silly writing video.

Lucas, I've never seen the Beatles live, but it's cool that you've been to a Paul McCartney concert. I like most of their music. Do you have a favorite? Do you think one of the Beatles look like Dracula?
Ali, Zoe, Lexie, Jed, and Dylan you are right. When Marcia and I first wrote Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots we actually did have Mrs. Jeepers turning into a vampire monster right in front of all the kids. Our editor asked us to change it so that it wouldn't be so scary and so kids could decide for themselves. That's why the Bailey School Kids books end the way they do. Do you think we should have gone with the scarier endings? ttyl, Debbie
