Ghouls Don't scoop ice creamHappy leaves     Hi Kwali, I'm glad you think my books are funny.  I do enjoy reading funny books myself.  My favorite funny book that I wrote is Ghouls Don't Scoop Ice Cream.  I think you could get the books quicker at the library or bookstore than I could send them.  Ciera, I was definitely scared to sky-dive, but it did help me to write my story better.  I think a soccer and dance book would be fun.  Hannah, I'm excited to be writing a new book.  My favorite part is to actually write a new story.  Rewriting it and making it better is a lot harder for me.  Have a great Thanksgiving, Debbie

Vampires don't WEar Polka Dotsfall leaves     Hi to the great kids at Switlik Elementary.  It was fun visiting your school.  You guys have great ideas.
Dominic, I was 29 when I sold my first book and it was Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.  Ciera, I'm glad you liked my first book.  I hope you'll also enjoy Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips.  That was the hardest Bailey School Kids book to write.  Say hi to Mrs. Toddings and your class for me.
Alanna, every series has it's own set of unique characters.  I have written nine series.  Isabella, thanks for your awesome ideas.  Anthony, I get inspiration from everywhere, even from the newspaper and from Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chipsschools I visit!  Summer, I do like being a professional writer.  Sometimes it's hard, just like anything, but it's really nice to be able to work at something I love to do.
Jessica, I'm not giving away the ending of Whistler's Hollow.   I hope you'll check it out at your library.  ttyl, Debbie

Hi Gabby, I'm so happy you like the Bailey School Kids Unicorns Don't Give Sleigh Ridesbooks.  Eddie, Melody, Howie, and Liza are good friends of mine.  When I write about them, of course I put myself in their shoes-what are they thinking and feeling?  I think an author must do that for any character.  It's sort of like being an actor in a play, but instead of saying what the actor is thinking a writer writes it down.  Hope you'll check out About Me for your report.  brb, Debbie
