Dear Anonymous, My grandmother inspired me to write because she always kept a diary. You can find out the answer to your other questions on my Meet Debbie Dadey page and my Frequently Asked Questions page. Good luck with your report, Debbie

Dear Suzy, It is great to hear from you. My favorite poem is by Emily Dickinson. I have always enjoyed silly poems too, like Shel Silverstein’s. What is your favorite? I did have fun making up poems to put in The Polar Bear Express.
Hanna, not sure what happened. I answer every appropriate letter I receive. I do like you! Hi Sarra!
Lydia, I taught at three different schools: Hardinsburg Elementary, Sayre School, and Tates Creek Elementary.
    Have a fin-tastic week, Debbie

Dear Hazel, It is hard for me to pick a favorite mermaid. I am a bit like all of them! I like sports like Shelly, I like to dance like Echo, I like to read like Kiki, and I like pretty things like Pearl! Who is your favorite? Niga2345, I can tell you like the book Holes. So do I! Best, Debbie

Dear Afina, My friend Marcia Jones and I wrote a book called Mermaids Don’t Run Track. It was such fun, I loved the idea of writing more books about mermaids. That turned into Mermaid Tales! When I was in elementary school I wanted to be two things when I grew up: a teacher and then president! Have an awesome Wednesday and God bless, Debbie
