Dear Dylan, I’m sorry you had trouble with the Bookends video on my video page. I suspect it has to do with whether your computer has Adobe Flash Player or not. I will ask my webmaster about it.

Dear Lily, My older brother’s birthday is May 10th too. I enjoy books as gifts, do you? For some reason I have written a lot of birthday books. I should make a list! The upcoming Sleepover at the Haunted Museum is about Shelly’s birthday and Battle of the Best Friends is about Pearl’s birthday. Yes, I do go to church. In fact, I went last night. But I am going virtually right now until I get my second vaccine shot. Unfortunately too many people in my area refuse to wear a mask, or wear it properly. It upsets me.

Dear Lilian, You have the perfect last name for a mermaid! I hope you have fun with your Jennifer story. Maybe you’ll want to try my HAUNTED SHIP WRITING CONTEST. It starts today! It’s my first writing contest so I’m excited to read the stories. My writing page has tips and suggestions. Guess what? My birthday is May 18th and I like to play tennis too (although I haven’t played it since the pandemic started.)

Dear Lily, I am lucky enough to be traditionally published, so I am paid to write my stories. When they are published I earn money depending on how many copies are sold. It’s called royalties. My next book is called Sleepover at the Haunted Museum. Have a blessed day, Debbie

Lily, I am not sure how to do emojis on my laptop, only my phone.Wink I see my website program does allow me to add some though. I’ll try using them more often! I grew up not particularly well off, so to me I’m a little rich-but maybe not to other people. Biking with your whole family sounds so fun. Lily, while I look at my Kid’s Talk every weekday morning, I usually don’t on the weekends. I totally understand your frustration with your brothers. I have two as well! I have one older and one younger brother. We often got into trouble together! So sorry about your slime situtaion. I wonder if there is a good story about freckles? Maybe you should write one about freckles and slime! Have a great week, Debbie
Dear Lily, I wear glasses to read and use the computer. I love freckles. When I was a kid I wanted to have them. Maybe those other kids are jealous! I check the Kid’s Talk every morning and then I do my writing. I understand that not everyone likes to write like I do, but the winners will be chosen for creativity. There will be separated into two groups, 1-2 and 3-4.
Yes, my kids did like slime when they were younger. In fact, my oldest son and I wrote two books about slime!
I wrote a book called The Worse Name in Third Grade about a girl named Bridgett Butt. The blog is her’s. I don’t know where Glenville, TN is, but my area does have a lot of tourists. I live away from the touristy area though. Have a super awesome weekend, Debbie
