Dear Taylor, I hope you enter the Wacky Hair Day contest. If you win (5 winners selected randomly) then you will definitely get a BSK book! Do you have a favorite Bailey School Kids book? Werewolves Don’t Go To Summer Camp just came out as an audiobook this week. Here’s a sneak peek.
Ella L, I think hair made to look like a doughnut sounds pretty wacky and fun! I look forward to seeing your sketch. Suddenly, I am very hungry for a doughnut! Have a blessed day for this National Day of Prayer, Debbie

Dear Nainika, I wonder which of the Mermaid Tales stories you’ve read is your favorite? I don’t know anything about Story Jumper, but I see that it is a way to make stories. Has anyone else reading this used it? Did you like it?
Ella L, I hope you will draw a sketch of your donut hair. It sounds totally wacky! Have a blessed day, Debbie

Dear friends, If you feel like getting a little silly, hope you’ll try out my Wacky Hair Day contest (with permission from your parent, guardian, or teacher). You can draw or paint silly hair or do you own fun hair-style. Send the drawing or an image (it can be from the back). I’m looking forward to seeing what wacky things you come up with! Dear Kayla, What a nice surprise. I’m so glad you are enjoying my books and are writing ones like them. I’m curious, which series is your favorite? Here are my different series. Since you like writing so much, I wonder if you’ve visited my writing page and if you’d like to enter my writing contest.
Lily, the Bailey School Kids are quite different from the Mermaid Tales. I am curious to see what you think of Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots. Your librarian might like to know it will be coming out as a graphic novel in August. What do you think of the different covers (done by different artists)? Do you like one more than the other?
Ella L., I agree! Every day should be Earth Day! Have a super wonderful weekend, Debbie

Dear Ava, Happy Earth Day! My dogs are named Carmen and Blue. They are both greyhound rescues. My favorite color is blue and I have three wonderful children. I like Patrick from Sponge Bob too! He is funny. I’m so glad you like the Mermaid Tales books.
Lily, you’ll have to let me know what you think about the Bailey School Kids books. After flipping on the trampoline, you might like Witches Don’t Do BackFlips! Have a blessed day, Debbie

Dear Lily, I hope you have a good time in Ocean City. Don’t forget your mask! For your story, you could even make up a new mermaid that sees a haunted ship! I look forward to reading your adventure and here’s the link for where to send it. It is due by April 30th. Your teacher or a parent/guardian needs to know you are sending it. Lily, I answer every kind message I receive.
Ella L., for the Haunted House Writing Contest, here just needs to be a haunted ship in the story somewhere. It can be any ship you make up or even a real ship that sunk. Have fun writing and feel free to get some tips from my writing page. Have a great week, Debbie
