Dear Ella L., I can’t wait for Sleepover at the Haunted Museum either. It comes out next month, but it’s available for pre-order. I’d be happy to send anyone who pre-orders it a autographed bookplate. Here’s a sneak peek mini video.
I loved your donut hair and the pastry hair princess. So clever! I plan to start sharing the pictures soon here and on Facebook and Twitter. The Wacky Hair Day contest winners will be chosen randomly on June 7th and the Silly Cake Contest winner will be chosen on the May 30th. Kids who haven’t tried it yet still have plenty of time. Have an awesome week, Debbie

Dear Ella L., For me, wacky hair is anything that I don’t normally do. I think donut hair sounds fun! Have an awesome week. Today, I’m announcing a new contest on my homepage. In Sleepover at the Haunted Museum, Pearl gives Shelly a scary cake. In honor of that, I’m having a silly cake contest. It can be cupcakes or a cake. Hope you’ll give it a try! Your friend, Debbie

Dear Lily, I understand. I hope you have fun drawing wacky hair anyway! Today, I will be visiting classrooms across the country to celebrate spring Children’s Book Week. At noon Eastern Time, I’ll be reading aloud from the winners of my Haunted Ship Writing Contest. Have a great weekend! God bless, Debbie
