Dear Geetika, Pearl gets a sibling in The Winter Princess. Yes you are right, Echo only has one sister, Crystal. You can find out more about her in the book, A Tale of Two Sisters. I hope you’ll like those stories. Have a great week, Debbie

Dear Geetika, I live with my husband and our two greyhound rescues in the Smoky Mountains. My three children are all grown up! My favorite hobby is reading, but I also play tennis and I’ve started sewing again. My Grandmother Bailey was an excellent seamstress. When I was a little girl, she made all my clohtes for me.
Ella L., guess what? I have never ridden a dolphin, but I did get to pet one. I’ll see if I can find a picture. I was glad to get to write about dolphins in more detail in the upcoming Mini Mermaid Tales. Have a great week and God bless, Debbie

Dear Ella L, Each Mini Mermaid Tales will have a different plot. They four friends that are different-one likes to go really fast and what she wants to do most is to ride a dolphin! Her friend thinks that sounds really dangerous. What do you think?
Geetika, I bet you will love third grade! I haven’t gone anywhere yet, but hope to! I actually made my first website myself, but this one I had help with. Have a great weekend, Debbie

Dear Geetika, I learned to read in first grade, but I really started to love reading in fourth grade. My teacher, Mrs. Forker, read to us every day and I enjoyed it so much. I think that’s why fourth grade was my favorite grade and she was my favorite teacher-and also why I love to read so much! I hope you will enjoy your new school year, Debbie

Dear Geetika, I was born in Kentucky. You can find out more about me on my book report page. I spent my summer doing a lot of reading too! In fact, I was reading when I probably should have been doing other things!
Ella L., I’m excited about the Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots graphic novel too. Have a super great week and God bless, Debbie

Dear Ella L., It’s great to hear from you. I know you will love fourth grade. My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Forker, was awesome. My favorite part of the day was when she read aloud to us. I think you know about my new Mermaid Tales book, Sleepover at the Haunted Museum that came out last month. On August 3rd, I have a graphic novel coming out of Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots. It is my first graphic novel! When do you start school? Best, Debbie

Dear Evelyn, I’m so glad that the Mermaid Tales books make you happy. I hope you are enjoying Wish Upon a Starfish.
Geetika, I haven’t traveled much lately because of Covid-19. You can actually see some of the places I’ve traveled by clicking on my photo album.
It is hard for me to pick one ocean animal that is my favortie, but right now I think bioluminscent Dinoflagellates are pretty cool! I just wrote about them in the Mermaid Tales book that comes out next year.
There is a Bridgett’s Blog because it goes with a book I wrote a while ago called The Worst Name in Third Grade. Have a great day, Debbie

Dear Geetika, I wanted to be an author because I like to read so much. I thought it would be really cool for someone to read something I wrote! If you like to write, you might like to visit my writing page. Have a great weekend and God bless, Debbie
