Dear May, Today is my birthday! I’m really old.
Jaxsaon, space books are really fun. You should write it. I co-wrote one called Mrs. Jeepers in Outer Space. I even went to Space Camp! Have a great week, Debbie

Dear Scarlett, I wonder which Mermaid Tales books you have read. The newest one is A Titanic Friendship, where Echo really, really wants to go visit the sunken ship. The new girl might just ruin everything though!
Ella, I love taking chances in writing. Happy reading! It was be very fun to see your pictures. Yes, the Mini Mermaid Tales series is officially out. The first book in the series is The Friendship Wish. Rosie wants a new friend, but is it worth the trouble they get into?
Bailey, I do enjoy writing very much. Do you?
Adonai, my birthplace and family history inspired me to write two books-Whistler’s Hollow and Cherokee Sister.
Ash, great to hear from you again. My next book is Ghosts Don’t Eat Potato Chips graphic novel, which is available for preorder now.
Logan, I didn’t show your post because it is dangerous to put your address on the Internet. Thanks so much for enjoying my books and please ask your librarian to get more for your school. Happy reading, Debbie

Dear Gavin, My first book came out in 1990. It was Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots. It is now out as a graphic novel. Which do you like better, graphic novels or chapter books?
Tucker, thanks for the encouragement. You’re awesome! Kylie, your school seems very nice. I really enjoyed my visit. Something happened to your post, but I saw it. You rock! Best, Debbie

Dear Abigail, Yeah, I’m so glad you enjoyed A Whale of a Tale. I hope you enjoy The Lost Princess. The nice thing about Mermaid Tales is that you don’t have to read them in order.
Charlotte, I’m a bit like Echo because I like to dance and I’m like Kiki because I love to read. My next mermaid books is the first book in the Mini Mermaid Tales that is easier to read than the Mermaid Tales stories. It’s called A Friendship Wish. Hope you’ll like it. Have a great week, Debbie

Dear Charlotte, I’m so glad you enjoyed the mystery in Sleepover at the Haunted Museum. I hope you are having fun writing your fairy story. Did you know I wrote one too? It’s called Fairy Chase (it’s actually a bit of a mystery as well!) Have a great time writing, Debbie

Dear Abigail, Thanks for writing! I’m delighted that you enjoy the Mermaid Tales series. Do you have a favorite book in that series? I like mermaids and I like to swim too. I actually have a pool and it’s fun to exercise in it (and maybe pretend to be a mermaid!) Hope you have a great week and God bless, Debbie

Dear Hannah, Kiki is so cool! Books 3, 7, 11, 15 and 19 focus on Kiki. Do you have a favorite one? The Polar Bear Express is one of my favorites. Have a great week, Debbie P.S. Hannah took the Mermaid Tales quiz-have you taken it yet?
