Dear Maggie, Thanks for writing! I’m delighted you like my Mermaid Tales books. My nephew actually swam with a whale when he was in the navy, so that helped me write a Whale of a Tale. My daughter and I used to have tea parties when she was little. I loved them so much, I have also hosted teas for non-profits organizations. They were super fun and helped me to write A Royal Tea! Click here for tips on having your own tea party. Hope you have a great summer, Debbie

Dear Jada, I am so happy you are enjoying the Mermaid Tales series. Wow! You are an awesome reader! The idea for Flower Girl Dreams actually came from my daughter who always wanted to be a flower girl. You might like to check out my Mermaid Tales page for some fun activities. Have a great summer, Debbie

Dear Friends, I wanted to share with you a video I did with the good folks at Simon Kids. It’s a read-aloud of the first chapter of The Friendship Wish. Hope you enjoy it. If you did, check with your public library and ask them to order the book for you. Happy summer reading, Debbie

Dear Edith, Guess what? When we orginally wrote Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots we actually did tell what happened to Eddie out in the hall. Our editor thought it was too scary and asked us to change the ending!

    Have a great summer, Debbie

Dear Taylor, I like my dogs too! I even put a ‘sort-of’ dog in some of my Mermaid Tales books-a wolf fish!
Max, your idea for a book series sounds very fun. Have you tried writing it yourself? Check out my writing page.
Olivia, my husband and I are really old! My youngest son died when he was only 23. I will never recover from the loss.
    God bless, Debbie
