Julia, The Bailey School Kids didn’t become a series until after we had written the sixth book. That’s when Scholastic asked us to write more more books in the series! Up until then they had called them companion books. We did not have a agent until we sold 90 books!

Dear John, When Marcia and I wrote our first book, Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots, we had no idea it would turn into a best-selling series. We have been very lucky and very blessed! We simply wrote the best book we knew how (and had fun with it) then sent it to a publisher and hoped they would publish it! Scholastic was the third publisher we asked. Have a great weekend, Debbie
Dear Cooper, I like all of the Bailey School Kids books, but Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots, Santa Claus Doesn’t Mop Floors, and Skeletons Don’t Play Tubas are some of my favorites.

Hi Noël, I have been lucky to have several dogs in my life. Shadow and Carmen are my doggy writing helpers! Can you tell which dog is Shadow?
