“Dear Debbie, today was miserable. You see, I have this new baby brother, and he’s so annoying! All he does is cry, and cry, and cry! And when my parents are working in the yard, I HAVE TO WATCH HIM, and my brother Aaron, who is four. Anyway, so I went to the local riverside to play. I was in the cattails, playing with my toy sailboat. Then, the lifeguard blew his whistle, and he shouted that it was now a private swim for the mayor’s daughter, and all of us had to get out. The other kids got out, but I wanted to see what was happening. I peeked our from the side of the cattails, and saw her expensive car drive her to the edge. She walked out toward the edge and smiled at the water. As I watching her, I soon realized my sailboat was floating away from me! Ugh! I chased after it, but the lifeguard yelled at me to get out of the water! So then i went home, to find my baby brother’s stupid celebration party. My mom asked where I had been, but before I could answer, my brother Aaron said, “Hey Squirt, you’re in trouble!” I was about to confront him, but my mom interrupted me and told me now that the baby was here I had more to think about then just myself, and to go get my baby brother. I brought him to my mom, and she showed him off to everyone. My mom’s friend said she wanted to keep him, and I said I thought that was a great idea. She laughed. Then my mom had me feed the baby in front of everyone, but he threw food on me, and everyone thought it was CUTE. UGH! Later, everyone went home, and my mom and dad went to go work on their garden outside, and made me watch the baby! UGH! ”
