“Yesterday my family and I were having breakfast. and we were excited because we were going to go to a circus! But then my dad came in and said the ringmaster had an allergic reaction and so the performance would be canceled. “Well that’s a bummer!” said my sister Isabella. “If it’s anything like your parsnip allergy,” added my mom. “I don’t blame him for not wanting to appear in public.” I’m allergic to wild parsnips, I get blotchy, red, weird voice thingy–not good. Anyway, my brothers and sister decided they’d put on their own circus in the backyard, and I would watch with my parents when they got home from work. I went outside my house to wait for the circus to be ready. Just then, I heard a voice–“Hey, Candace!” It was my friend Jeremy. He was holding a basket. “My mom told me to bring over these home-grown veggies for your family,” he said as he handed me the basket. He then peeked over the fence into the backyard. “A circus, huh? Cool, cool.” I scratched my nose, which was starting to itch. But it didn’t matter because I was talking to Jeremy. “Can I watch the show too?” he asked. “Yeah! Of course!” I added happily. But then, I started to cough and wheeze. My face broke out in red splotches. “Uh, Candace?” asked Jeremy, “are you ok?” I looked at the basket I was holding, realizing I hadn’t even bothered to look inside it. “Say, are there any wild parsnips in here?” I asked, concerned. “I think that’s all that’s in there,” he replied. Of course, I thought, wild parsnips. I dragged the basket away. “Later!” I told him. I had to get rid of this allergy–fast! I put the basket in the garbage. I rushed upstairs to my room, and sat at my desk, itching my face. “Of course, it HAD to be wild parsnips, it could have been any other vegetable!” I looked in my desk, allergy pills, allergy pills, allergy pills…then I found then, but it was empty! “NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I shouted, my voice now deep like a man because of my allergies. Ugh. Wild parsnips.”

“I made an animation, and sent it to you using Gmail. Its a bit choppy, because I can’t make throughly detailed animations, even though mine are smooth and medium.”

“I really like the idea of Aqua being in the mini mermaid tales. If so, maybe she could be in Mermaid Tales too”

“Hi, Debbie! Some mermaids can control water, make different temperatures, and many others. Thanks for the mail you sent me! The Bailey School movie sounds neat! Also, I agree that the singing is creepy. (Those mermaids are called sirens. Like Shelly Siren! No wonder she has a great voice. But I don’t think she’d use it to harm.) Speaking of the Bailey School Kids TV Show, maybe it’d be cool to make Mermaid Tales into an animated tv film. I actually animate, but I get too tired to make long episodes, and that was just a suggestion… I love your books, and I hope there’d be more in the future!”

“Also, wouldn’t it be cool if Aqua had a superpower, like Kiki?”
